 1. Stationary Cycle Ergometers - (Stationary bikes)

Most Stationary Cycles provide a wattage workload. To get a good workout, you will need to maintain a 60-80 revolutions per minute, this is the most mechanical efficient spee that the body can maintain. Stationary bikes provide the least impact of any cardio machines.

2. Treadmills

Treadmill is the closest thing to running outdoors. The workout is regulated through belt speed and the gradient of the treadmill. The speed can be increased as high as 20Kmph and a gradient of as high as 25 degrees in good treadmills.  The modern type can absorb the many of the destructive comprehensive impact forces that running on the road can do to your body. To reduce injury even more, you need to wear well constructed shoes that’s fitted correctly for your feet. We advise not to run bare feet whilst running on the treadmill.

3. Steppers

Steppers is the closest thing to climbing stairs. The great advance about the stepper rather than climbing the stairs is the ability to partially lift your body weight in each step while maintaining contact contact with both pedal steps. This really reduce the impact forces on your body. Steppers use stepper per minute speed as a measure of intensity.

4. Rowing Machine

Rowers one of the best equipment to use since its a full body workout but hardly utalised in gyms and fitness centres. The great advantage in using the rower is the recruitment of posterior shoulder muscles that are usually negelected when working out. The person will usually need a trainer to show them how to use it or read an instruction manual to help show the right posture and to prevent injury.

5. Crosstrainer - Elliptical Trainer

The crosstrainer machine are cross between a treadmill and a stepper and a combines both benefits without the impact of running. The machine resembles a treadmill with long planks that the client’s feet are attached to. The planks are driven through a circular direction, with client’s feet sat no time leaving the attachment.

It doesn’t really matter which cardio  equipment you use, as long as you have a good exercise posture needs to be done or observed at all times to prevent injuries.
